Valérie Méthot
Graduating with a Master’s degree in physiotherapy from the University of Sherbrooke, I have always felt that my calling was to help people. What excites me about my work is the ability to improve my patients’ quality of life, whether by relieving persistent pain or guiding them toward resuming meaningful activities.
My approach is based on a comprehensive analysis of each patient, taking into account the bio-psycho-social factors that may influence their condition. I place great importance on active listening and a thorough assessment of the body.
Movement is at the heart of my practice and advice. I am convinced that staying active is essential for overall well-being, and I encourage everyone to find a meaningful activity that allows them to move despite injuries.
Outside of work, I am passionate about the outdoors. Enjoying time in nature with my dog, hiking in the forest or mountains, and cross-country skiing are activities that help me stay active and energized. As a former hockey goalie, I also enjoy skating and playing dek hockey.
My care philosophy is summed up by this inspiring quote: “Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”
