Pascale Ouellet
Guided by my desire to help people and my fascination with the human body, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Laval in 2005. The core values of autonomy and independence inherent in occupational therapy resonate with me, both in my practice and in my personal life.
Early in my career, I had the opportunity to work in acute care with patients presenting neurological impairments, severe burns, complex orthopedic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord lesions. I later contributed to the development of an outpatient hand surgery clinic where I gained solid experience with this clientele. This immersion in a hospital setting allowed me to deepen my skills in physical health rehabilitation.
Driven by a commitment to excellence in care, I co-founded Dextérité in 2011, the first clinic specializing in upper limb rehabilitation in eastern Quebec. With over 15 years of experience in hand therapy, my goal is to promote this branch of rehabilitation, surrounded by a highly skilled team.
Outside of work, I find balance through hiking, paddleboarding, and kayaking—activities that allow me to recharge in nature.
My philosophy is reflected in this inspiring quote by Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.”
