Insurers and employers
At Dextérité, we provide specialized care to support the return-to-work process, physical rehabilitation, and functional independence of your insured individuals or employees. Through our interdisciplinary approach and targeted assessments, we contribute to effective, sustainable, and safe reintegration pathways.
For amputee clients, the use of a prosthesis can be an integral part of the rehabilitation process. Whether for aesthetic or functional purposes, this prosthetic fitting involves several steps, including pain management, edema and wound healing, training in overall movement with the prosthesis, specific control of the prosthesis, training in common functional activities, and ultimately, training for work and leisure activities.
The prosthetic rehabilitation program therefore aims for the successful integration of the prosthesis in order to optimize hand function despite the amputation.
Our team, consisting of a physiatrist, prosthetists, physiotherapist, and occupational therapists, will do everything possible to guide you through this complex process.
An assistive device is a product or equipment designed to facilitate or even enable the performance of an activity in situations of disability. Whether in the clinic or at home, this evaluation is carried out by an occupational therapist who first assesses the physical and functional abilities before proposing various solutions to improve the individual’s autonomy and safety. Specializing exclusively in hand and arm-related issues, our occupational therapists have in-depth knowledge of the adaptations and assistive devices available for these specific conditions.

To discuss a particular case before making a referral, you can contact Marie-Hélène Dufour, Service Coordinator.
